Silver City, New Mexico

Kemp Golf Course Design is excited to be working with Colligan Golf Design on Scott Park Golf Links.  Scott Park has been a part of the New Mexico golf scene for 60 years.  In 1963 Sliver City Golf Course opened as a 9-hole course that was designed by Jack Snyder, ASGCA.  The golf course stayed 9-holes for about 25 years when the city decided to expand it to 18-holes.

The golf course is on a great piece of land and going through the Master Plan process we tried to utilize it in the best way possible.  As we moved through concepts and talked with city staff and advisors it became apparent that they wanted to create a special golf course for the Silver City community.

The final master plan concept calls for a rerouted course that will incorporate ideas and strategies from classic golf courses across the world.  Along with a new golf course the golf facility will have a world class practice facility that will include a large double ended driving range and an 8-acre short game area that can be used as a 9-hole short course.  A putting course will also introduced south of the clubhouse.
